We still have Chicago slots available. Tonight at 6:00 registration for will be open to ANYONE who is interested in going, including parents. Email me for more information. Thanks. Money and orders due Thursday to Coach Hughes in the ag room. Make sure you have your form filled out and everything in an envelope. The envelope should have the following on the outside: 1) Name 2) Chicago and 3) total dollar amount inside. Turn money in between 8:00-8:25 or at break. Coach Hughes will not be available after break. PICKUP: On Friday the 25th each person who has sold mums will need to be ready to haul ALL of them away between 4 and 5 pm. CHANGE: Pickup will now be at Locust Grove Baptist Church from 4-6. You may not leave until all of your flowers are gone. Let me know if you have any questions. (Edited 8/17 at 2:47 pm) GOLF HOLE SPONSORSHIP FUNDRAISER The first fundraiser has currently begun! The form attached below gives you information on the BHS wrestling team's current golf tournament fundraiser. We are helping them and helping ourselves at the same time. Sell a golf hole sponsorship (sign advertisement) for $100 and get $40 toward your Chicago trip account. If you end up not going, the fundraising will be donated to the Historical Society's Hall of Heroes fund. If you have any questions at all please email me at [email protected]. The deadline for turning in money and sponsorship information is September 2nd (Wednesday). Please bring the forms and money to my room. All checks should be made out to BHS and have a phone number with area code on them. Also, blue or black ink only.
Registration for Chicago is now open to returning travelers. You MUST have signed the registration form in my room and received the "how to register flyer" before you log on a register for the trip. If you register without having done this you will be removed from the system. Returning travelers have until Thursday at 6:00pm to register. At 6:01, new travelers may log on and register. I will pass out the information sheets for registration to NEW travelers at the parent meeting on Wednesday night at 5:30 in the MP room (see previous post). Let me know if you have any questions. There will be a parent meeting for the trip this Wed. night at 5:30 in the MP room at the school. We will distribute registration forms for the NEW travelers at this meeting. If you have questions in the mean time about registration details please let me know. Read the image from the Remind texts below on the info for this Friday's meeting. Read from the bottom up. (unofficially) - We have had so much interest generated for our Chicago trip that we have decided to forego a brainstorming session on where to go and run with Chicago. I've enjoyed our previous 4 trips but I may have more excitement over this trip than any of the others. We have a lot in store. Check out the attached itinerary below. We've worked very hard to plan this itinerary and feel that it offers a great variety of perspectives. From architecture, to engineering, from sports to art, (and obviously history) it's all there. If you have any questions please feel free to let me know. (The "unofficial" comment is in reference to pending board approval of the trip. I'll let you guys know as soon as it is official, officially.) I will soon post information about how to register for the trip. Those who traveled to New York will get the first chance to participate in this trip (including parent chaperones). I will then open registration up to other BHS students and parents of new travelers. Finally, keep up with major updates here but also please sign up for our Remind 101 text messaging system.
